  • Blood Drive: Every two seconds, someone needs blood- and someday it could be you, or someone you love.  To make sure area hospitals have enough blood for everyone who needs it, Michigan Blood needs to collect 2,400 blood donations every week, year round.Saint Thomas the Apostle Parish is sponsoring a blood drive on Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 8;30 AM to 1:00 PM in the Ministry Center Community Room (1449 Wilcox Park Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506).  Appointments are preferred Contact Julie Wildey @ 485-0422 to make an appointment or to donate cookies. 
  • What's In A Name? You are invited to come together with facilitator and RCIA Sponsor Fr. Tom Madden for an interesting, fun educational and spiritually rewareding time to revisit thename and Saint you selected for your Confirmation name.  Join us on Sunday, November 2nd, 12:30 - 2:00 PM in the Ministry Center Community Room.   • Into the Heart: A Journey Through the Theology of the Body will be offered on Mondays nights, November 3 - March 30 from 6:15 to 7:30 PM in the School Faculty Conference Room, with parish facilitators Mrs. Amy Den Braber and Mr. Brian Grady (Childcare is provided). This 16 part DVD-based study will move you deeper into the profound message of the Theology of the Body, enable you to integrate it fully into every aspect of your life.   • Hospitality Refreshments (formally Coffee and Donuts): Our Hospitality Ministry Team is looking for more groups to help host refreshments after the 9am and 11am Masses.  3-4 people is enough so grab some friends or family and help provide an opportunity for laughter and sharing! Construction continues on Carlton Street.  Please be advised that Carlton St is closed now at Wilcox Park via sign, but you can get through.  It is a tight turn to get on to Wilcox Park from Carlton.  We have opened the gate and you can enter through Fulton St between Mercy Respite and Holland Home.  This will be in effect through the duration of the construction (except during school hours, whereby the turn-around drive way must be used (or thru Youell).You can access our parking lot through Youell, without problems.  If you have driven on Carlton in the last six months you will welcome this change to come on Carlton. Thank you for your understanding and as always please watch for children and use caution when driving around the church and school.
